Your ship is looking good Marcus. A lot neater than the work I've been doing on mine.

The Dreadnought has given me some impetus to work on another 1/350 warship, perhaps with more care and attention to detail.

I know it has been and continues to be a pleasure to view your, Bill's and Steve's work on this ship and it makes me feel that, given a bit more time, I may turn out a respectable model one of these days.

I look forward to your continued postings.

Since posting this build last August I am coming down to the wire.  Only have to install a couple of boats, railings, decals and some paint touch ups along with weathering.  Well maybe the down the stretch. I decide not to include any WIP as there been several dreadnoughts WIP posted these past months, but felt I should post something now and take in any feedback.

This is my second model and ship since picking up modeling this past year.  I made many mistakes and learned many lessons and had lots of fun along the way.  I want to thank everyone involved with this forum for all their posts.  I really learned a lot of techniques and methods from those posts.  The next build will be a blast.

Due to my inexperience I fail to check the mast and yardarms to see if they were strong enough to add lines.  I already had it assembled before I saw the post about it on another WIP and I did not want to disassemble it as I felt I would ruin the PE.  I will be checking for strength in the future.

Anyway here are few crappy IPAD photos I have.  I am in the process of making  the photo box that FSM has in the how to video, so the next pictures should be brighter.

Excellent idea. Thanks for saving me from the swearing I was anticipating on working on the second funnel. I really like the look of the baffles, but I have to say that they are the most time-consuming part of the build so far, other than the 12 pounders, with all the PE they get from the WEM set I purchased.

The first one fell apart just as you described, so the second funnel I bent one leg of the baffle and attached it to the cap ring in its assigned groove.  I then added a tiny drop of glue to all the leg joints, then let it sit over night so the CA cured hard and then did the next.  It took eight or nine days to build the second funnel cap.  I didn't swear as much on that build as did on the first funnel.  Just breathing on those legs and they break off.

Looking good so far. How did the Trumpeter PE for the funnel baffles and cap work for you? Mine began to fall apart the second I began to bend them. They are going to end up as separate pieces glued inside the funnel cap. I also had an issue with the red painting on the hull, so I need to sand and repaint an area.

Nice to see another one in the works Marcus! Look forward to seeing more of this one when you get to it.
