I wasn't going to post this build but after seeing the other three works in progress I figure what the heck, make it a foursome.
This model is Trumpeter 1/350 HMS Dreadnought 1907, with B&D bass barrels and Eduard P.E.
I won't bore you with all the early build pictures, but show the last one taken of where I am at on the build. Sorry I cannot provide a better picture, all I have is the digital camera that comes with the IPAD.
The funnels and 12" turrets are dry fitted and not glued in place. The deck was painted because I didn't like how the ArtWox deck fitted, too thick. I have many superstructure pieces ready for assembly but I am on hold for now. Working on another ship for the WWI group build that I wanted to show some progress on, plus I will be convoying with my son who is heading off to college tomorrow and I won't be back untill Sunday.
As you can see I need to touch up the paint around the bilge keel, I somehow knocked it loose. I also knocked off several torpedo net booms. I thought I made the right call by putting them on before painting the hull, but I not sure now if it was the right call.
All the paints are Vallejo model acrylic, sprayed or hand painted on.
