Got my Hawaiian Pilot!
Posted by Don Stauffer on Sunday, September 21, 2014 11:31 AM

I've been looking for the Revell HP for some time.  Yesterday was at a swap meet of a model car club.  They had some non-car stuff, and I was able to pick up a Hawaiian Pilot for seven bucks!

Get to work! I like to see things that aren't gray.

There's no clear line of reason on why the hulls on those flat bottoms are the depth they are.

"Box height scale"?

Somewhere between laden and light?

It's not too hard to sink ten a little. Did that with my T2.

Left the seaplane tender alone as she looked pretty good.

Modeling is an excuse to buy books.

I plan to use 1:350 PE for railings and ladders.  Yeah, it will be a bit out of scale, but I hope those pieces will not be too noticable.  I will be spending far more for PE than I paid for the kit!
