                        anyone have or know where I can get a 1/60 scale imai/ertel Santa Maria kit? I have tried ebay but no luck

                        Ebay is your best bet.  I just saw one end yesterday for ~30 dollars...which is a decent price for it.  I've built it, and it's a great model kit!

                        I would recommend keeping your eyes peeled on eBay...start a *saved search* and you'll get notifications if one comes up for auction or sale...and they turn up often enough.

                        I agree with Dave, keep a lookout on evilBay.  I have seen 3 in the last couple of months for about $30 but since I have one in my stash I haven't felt the need to purchase another.  You should check out Dave's thread here on the Santa Maria, he did an outstanding job on her.
