This photograph shows the wreck of the liberty ship Joel R. Poinsett under tow to Halifax after she broke in two in heavy weather. Her crew managed to escape and her remaining hull was converted to a storage ship in Halifax.
Found this photo on the Museum of the Atlantic site the next 2 are also Liberty ships.
