A beautiful model of a handsome, important ship.
My only slightly negative (and, I hope, constructive) comment concerns the mounts, which to my eye are a little overwhelming. But it probably would be dangerous to replace them at this point.
Did you drill holes for them in the hull? If so, you might want to think about relplacing the wood knobs with brass rods. Coat them with clear lacquer and mount them in a nice wood base, and they'd look great.
In its recent kits Dragon has been including some mighty handsome styrene pedestals. I sure wish the company would make them available separately; I'm sure they'd be popular.
The model itself - which is what really matters - looks terrific. Lots of folks with years of warship experience - including me - would be mighty proud to have produced a model like that.
Youth, talent, hard work, and enthusiasm are no match for old age and treachery.
