Do not forget the early turtle-backed DDs with their austere purity.

Keep in mind a case could be made for the ultimate super-DD, the Atlanta class CL(AA)s

WW 2 Destroyers - Gotta Luv Them

Do you like the " Greyhounds of the sea " ?  I know I do . Probably built more models of them in all scales than Tankers . Why , Well " going in harm's way " seemed to be my forte . So destroyers it was .

I must've had more hours on studying these ships than any one man has a right to . Starting with the " Four Stackers ." And following up to what we call destroyers today .

WOW ! have these babies changed  . I thought our Gearing  before and after " Fram " was crowded . The four stacker had deck room that the " Gleaves " class and the later Fletchers only wished for . In WARSHIP PICTORIAL  publications there is a photo book . This covers the " Round Bridge Fletchers " . It is number 42 in the series .

Best book I've ever had on these  .Granted they even had six , slated to carry Aircraft ! ( only three ever completed that way .) An Interesting class , a very good book and time well spent . I have to thank my friend and also client for providing me with my copy . Want a crowded ship ? Get the book and then build one .          Tanker - Builder             Our friend Tracy White is even mentioned in the book ! Thanks Tracy !
