1:600 weapons
Posted by PTConsultingNHR on Sunday, January 25, 2015 10:05 AM
Hello All, May I please ask a question? In 1:600, are there weapons like single 20mm guns, a twin 40mm Bofors, Hedgehogs and depth charges? I do know that GMM has a US NAVAL SHIP set in 1:600 that has railings, ladders, and radars. But ... does anyone here know of weapons in that scale? Tim

Tim,

The only sets I know about were those manufactured in resin by WEM. They had a good line of British weapons as replacements for the Airfix kits.  I am not sure whether or not they made American weapons.

Look at Atlantic Models. 1/600 is an Airfix scale and they should have something.

Modeling is an excuse to buy books.

Garth, I am sure you are known to Richard over at Tom's Modelworks.  Since he is the one that is going to resurrect the WEM line, you might send him an email and see what he might have in some sort of "industry guy to industry guy" sort of arrangement. ( I don't know how much or exactly what stock he got in the purchase, though)

Use your full T Garth etc, etc, and PT consulting names when you do it. (it might also go better for you if you DON'T tell him that "Rex sent me", LOL.)
