DKM flags and ensigns
Posted by retdfeuerwehr on Sunday, July 5, 2015 4:06 PM

When a DKM vessel was at anchor, what flags were flown and where...e.g., in the USN a ship at anchor hoisted the black "at anchor" ball from a yardarm and flew the Union Jack at the bow and the National Ensign was flown at the stern............what did the DKM do in this situation?  And what about when a DKM ship was tied to a pier?  TIA

The DKM flew a jack when a ship was at anchor, moored to a buoy or tied to a pier.  Their jack  was a black swastika on a white disk on a red field as seen here
