1/72 scale IXC U-505 from Revell

I am building the 1/72 scale IXC U-505 from Revell. I purchased the BIG ED PE set from Eduard. I am trying to figure out how to position the torpedo tube doors in the closed position using the PE parts. The instructions are not very good. Does the PE part attach to the plastic door, flush, and glued closed? The PE assembly picture does not do a very good job. I thought that the door would be one piece that completely closes the opening but there is a gap that the PE part covers. Does anyone have a photo of what the finished piece looks like?
