Being on the MicroMark list is the only way I knew of their 10/31 20% off sale.

I've always had good luck with ModelExpo too.

At the beginning of this thread I mentioned that I'd gotten an e-mail notice of a sale that hadn't been posted on the ME website. Suggestion to anybody who's interested in the stuff ModelExpo sells: get on the e-mail list. What you want to buy is almost certain to be available at a huge discount in the near future, but if you don't get the e-mails you may not know it.

And....MicroMark is having a big sale too, including power tools. They have their cheaper table saw on sale from $ 175 to $ 125, but the better one is still $ 379.00.

Sigh...

Model Expo has IMO some real marketing problems. I was a regular customer a few years ago, but was dropped from their email and flyer lists. I went online to request a flyer with my customer # and never heard back.

No worries, I still think they're a good vendor, but they don't seem to have online sales figured out - I wonder how much more I would have bought from them if they were in contact the way Sprue and Squadron market to their existing customers.

My read is that the kit discount is against the sale price. That's the way I've had it work before. So the Sultana for instance can be had for about $ 85.00 including shipping.

The store credit is for the "build it for free" offer. So if I buy it and build it and give them the pictures, they give me $ 59.50 in store credit.

And yes it appears to have been "extended" to the 23rd.

Unfortunately I don't see where they've currently got a kit I want, but there are some good ones.

That offer expires on October 23 - next Friday.

Too bad the offer expired 9/27. And a store credit only?? Sigh. There's only one ship on there I'd buy, so except for supplies, store credit probably wouldn't help much.
