Revell Campbeltown Colours
Posted by GAngelious on Wednesday, December 30, 2015 9:43 PM

New here, so if I'm missed something obvious, forgive me.

Home for the new year so bought some models to occupy myself and might post pictures at some point, one of which was the Revell HMS Campbeltown.

My main question is to do with two colours used on the model. First, the deck asks for Tan which I'm assuming is for wooden decks, but I've never seen any pictures showing that it had a wooden deck, and couldn't find the "Tan" colour for it. Would it be best to use a darker grey (perhaps the "Gray" listed on the instructions rather than the "Light Gray"), or can someone reccomend a colour to use for the wooden decking if that's the best option?

The second colour I need help with is the red on the bottom half of the hull. Instructions call for "Dark Red", which isn't a colour I could find as a shade. However, I recently made the Airfix King George V battleship, and it uses Wine Red #160, would this work as a substitute?

Thanks for any help in advance.
