Here is my old LINDBERG LINE DE kit of USS RILEY, DE-579 built for me by Bill Stathis.
I can't see any image, Tim. I remember when you were asking about which kits to look for.
Modeling is an excuse to buy books.
Try this... a nice man on SN taught me how to do this, I hope it works here:
I have the same kit to build one day for a friend of mine. One was named after a relative of his who was killed on Guadalcanal.
edit- this is not my build, it is the original poster's photo re linked by me
F is for FIRE, That burns down the whole town!
U is for URANIUM... BOMBS!
N is for NO SURVIVORS...

I'm confused. (My normal state, of course.) Is the photo in Stikpusher's post his model, or PTConsulting's?
In any case, it's a mighty fine model - especially considering the origins.
Youth, talent, hard work, and enthusiasm are no match for old age and treachery.
Check out the price on the box, just below "Paul Lindberg"------Does that say 39 cents?
That box has been around awhile.......

That is his model, not mine. I posted it so that we all could see it. Apparently he has it linked improperly.
Tom,
I agree with everyone, that is a beautifully constructed model. I checked out the other pictures of this DE on your Photobucket account and they all look great.
