Question
Posted by PTConsultingNHR on Saturday, January 2, 2016 10:12 AM

Hey Guys?

Can someone here help me out here?  I've got that  Revell/Monogram 1:48 PCF (which my uncle built).  What I'd like to do someday is; replace its 50s with better ones and get a better 50-cal/81mm "over/under" mount ... I know that SHAPEWAYS has a 1:48 twin .50-cal for a good price, but there is no "over/under" mount ... I was thinking if I could get some drawings or plans of that mount, I could have someone on SHAPEWAYS to print one for me.  Does anyone here have those drawings/plans or know where I can get them?

Thanks,

Tim

I used Verlinden .50s to replace the kit .50s on my PCF build a few years back. And work with needle files and micro bits/pin vise to improve the 81mm mortar of the combo mount.

Great suggestion Stik....you can't go wrong with Verlinden. I go to them a lot with a tough build or a rare item to find. Your build looked great.

I took a look at the one on my shelf--built back in '75 or '76 and yes the guns could stand an upgrade, but the cabin interior screams for some detail.

Anything out there or a difficult scratchbuild task?
