This new movie looks pretty interesting to me.

Me too. Read the book a few months back; it's a terrific story.

Youth, talent, hard work, and enthusiasm are no match for old age and treachery.

In 1952 two T2 World War 2 era tankers both broke in half in the same storm east of Cape Cod. One, the guys in the bow survived, the other the guys in the stern. I think the movie is about the attempt to rescue the crew of SS Pendelton.

I like this old WW 2 classic. A true tale.

Hi, I believe that the Coast Guard named their new Fast Response Cutters in honor of one of the Coast Guardsman portrayed in this movie for his actions during the operation portrayed in the film.

Thanks for posting that.

I think Chris Pine plays him in the movie.

Sounds like a "must see".....movies made from true events or stories are my favorite kind.
