1:350 scale aircraft used on a 1:400 scale aircraft carrier will appear 12.5 % too large.

(400-350)/400 =.125

The choice is yours.   I try not to mix scales with differences greater than 10%.   IMO the appearance is too visually jarring.

Conversely,  using 1:400 scale aircraft on a 1:350 scale carrier, they will only appear 7.6% too small

(350-400)/350 = -0.076

Math!  Who said there would be math involved im modeling!

     Need some advice,

I recently came across an old 1/400 scale monogram Enterprise model (with the beehive tower) from a friend which has been mostly built.  I am thinking of stripping it down as best I can and re-doing it.  However most of the aircraft is broken or missing.  Would Tamiya 1/350 aircraft set (kit 78009) be to out of scale for this ship?  Also does anyone know if the Tamiya kit comes with decals. Yeah I do realize that the Tamiya aircraft are probably to modern for this ship but I do need aircraft for a carrier.

Thanks for any advice
