I saw someone get right to making the cannons first. So I did that as well. I had some plastic clothes pins. So I took a file & filed a groove in the top & bottom jaws to hold the tiny cannons together while they dried. So I could sit at my home office while working and glue up a few at a time. By the end of the day I was done assembling all the large Barrels.

So I'm just getting started. I am by NO means a "Fine Scale Modeler", but I will try my best! I know this will be a major project spanning quite a while. I'll do my best to post any snags, blunders, tips or ticks I encounter along the way. I plan to build her with FULL sails. I have always liked knots & ropes. So, I'm looking forward to the rigging. Here, I've glued the 2 sides of the hull together. It did NOT want to fit niceley. I've seen some pics on the internet where they are held together with wooden clothes pins. HA! Maybe if they had titanium spring in them.

For the copper I used Krylon FOIL Metallic copper.

I like the way it came out.
