Posted by Anonymous on Monday, March 15, 2004 10:04 PM
Dandenong Scale Model Club Australia is constructing a 48th scale model of the Japanese Aircraft carrier the Shoho. The Shoho was a light carrier sunk during the Battle of the Coral Sea. The Model is 14 feet 6 inches long. 19 48th scale aircraft comprising Zeros, Clauds and Kates have to be bulid't for the project, as well as scratch building of antiaircraft guns and equipment.
Pictures of the project can be see at the Club website www.dandenongsmc.org, or on the MSN Japanese Aircraft site

You link was a little fouled,.. Here ya go.

Looks like a great start.
As an avid R/C modeler, I am just cringing at the fact that something that big will just sit on a table, and won't be sailing on the pond.Sad [:(]

Gee, what better way to display your model aircraft, than taking them out
for a jaunt around the pond on a sunny day. the wind would get all the propellers moving, and it would look like a flight op ready to take off!Cool [8D]

That's the ship whose sinking was reported as "Scratch one flat top!". I see the flat top will be "scratched" again. Cool....

I'm from the government and I'm here to help.
