Baysider, are you maybe referring to the Merit Enterprise? I'm not aware of such a kit from Meng. I don't follow such things closely, though; I may be mistaken

Have been thinking about Merit's offering, but haven't seen either yet.  Out here it is more of you have to order it in then you are stuck with it, like it or not.

Has anyone built this kit by Meng yet and if so, how'd it go? 

I just opened the box and WOW!  It appears better than Trumpeter's Yorktown that I tried to convert to the Enterprise with costly but poor aftermarket components.  I gave up!  I really want this project to work out so I'm fishing for any advice I can get.  (It kills me that the ship could not be saved for posterity when she was decommissioned.)
