Nice work! I think I have this to build too.  Thanks for posting your pictures - it helps all of us realize what can be done.

Hey! Lighten up! When a modeler posts pics, we should be glad they did and support the work! If the modeler asks for help on how to post better photos, then maybe offer some constructive criticism - not this "pics are horrible" bashing! Geez.

I think the feedback on his pictures are relevant and will serve him well if he takes mine, and  others, suggestions on his photography...honest feedback is something we should be generous in giving and thankful in receiving if we wish to improve...

Your suggestion of course was very constructive on how to improve. Let me quote you, "the pics are horrible".  

Great "suggestion" on how to improve! I'm sure we can all "learn" from that. Please don't waste bandwidth with that kind of "honest feedback".

If you want to take the time to offer your "how tos", tecniques, suggstions, etc., they are surely welcome. But to just lambast a mate with a "the pics are horrible" serves no purpose at all.

Boy, if I wanted to get raked over the coals I would've joined Photobuckets forum. Just kidding.All constructive criticism welcome. No harm,no foul. Yea in hindsight pics are bad. I usually post an apology for them when I submit. Bad camera, worse photographer and no proper lighting makes for poor results. If I can manage better shots before I leave today I will re-post so you can better see the subject. You may wish for the original pics after. Thanks.

question,...this imitation of rust... seems a little bit...how to say...too contrast...when I look at the model,this , rusted part , feel like fall apart from the rest of the model appearance...?... or it is just effect on the fotoes...?

Thank you Krill, having seen your WIP I'm surprised you have the time and effort to respond. The rust was an attempt to add some texture perception as would reflect nature, but the English word ( and your English is excellent, why, we even have members that speak British!) the English word would be overdone.

I had gap in 3-4 days in my working schedule...was waitnig in the hotel for the next vessel  assignment... perfect opportunity to talk abt models! :))) ... tommorow will fly to Las Palmas to join anotger vessel and than no more regular internet connection till September...of couse it depends on port of dischare location...

"overdone"... may be yes...depend on the general vessel condition after long voyage, maintenance which crew was able to do...etc., presently  she looks like as laid up in dock for a long time... but I'm not expert at all in such matters...for that need to know ,what is background story, why You decided to paint her in this way and have colored picture of submarine during long voyage or in short after, would be ideal...

undoubtedly your attempt to add texture perception obtained...I like how your model looks!. :)

I hope your cruise is uneventful, I'll never take another one as the last time I ended up in Saigon. There is no back story for me, I read some research on the sub type,but more just a learning kit, I'm still practicing. I have 3, 1/350 WW2 battleships and a 1/96 USS Constitution I hope to live long enough to do some justice to.

there short sea passage expected frm LP to Spain...ans approx couple of weeks in the port, discharge cargo...

backgroud story ...mean story (imagine) of the submarine which model you built, show her ,for example when she just left yard, built new...or returned to the base after long patrol voyage...in this respect...

Hey Templar, don't worry about the pics.  Between my digital camera thinking it needs to set my apature on super blurr and dealing with both Photobucket's and FSM's websites, I'm amazed I haven't ran away and taken up fishing.  Just keep trying, I know I still do even though my pictures still turn out like a cats hairball when they show up on the website.

Yea, getting a new camera isn't gonna make me a better photographer.

I personally think the pics are much better than the first set, thanks for taking the time to retake and repost them! Although I would agree that for my personal liking the rust may be a tad much, I like the build and think it looks pretty good! Love the rigging and think its scale fits the build. What did you use? You can also get a better perpspective on just how big it as well. Not nearly as big as I initially thought it was.
