You might try some of the R/C (radio control)sub suppliers to see what they have. The kit makers, sad to say, have what they have--just becasue a thing could be made does not mean it is made. There are gaps--egregious gaps to the fans--in models of modern US subs. Which is bad, if no where as bad as the gaps in RN and Canadian naval vessels. So, what may be your best step is to see about finding some sort of plan set, and setting about scratch-building.

Hi,

I joined this community specifically because I can't seem to find any models in this scale.  I've seen the 1/700 and 1/350 and I'm not interested in something so tiny.

It's been a few years but I served on the USS Albuquerque, a Flight 1 688.  I figured 20-24 inches would be a decent display size but for the life of me... I can't find a thing.

Can anyone steer me in the right direction? I'd sincerely appreciate it.
