Does anyone know if there is a model out there of the Mars Class type ship? This is a support type ship.

Looking for info on the USS Concord AFS 5

 Thanks

Iron Shipwrights has a 1/350 USS Mars AFS 1 kit. A bit expensive though.

Thanks for the info. You are right about the cost !!!

As the model makers drive away people with the rising costs of models, especially model ships, the future of our hobby is in grave danger of slowly going down the drain !!!

 Thanks again

Well actually it's a gift that there's a kit at all. How many people want a model of this class of vessel?

probably less than a couple of hundred, max.

which rules out anything mass produced.

Modeling is an excuse to buy books.

I want to say that Jon @ ISW has had the Mars on his product list for the last 10 to 12 years.   Never has made much on it.   The cost of material on a subject of this size is the primary driver of the retail price

I hope my comment wasn't seen as a knock on ISW. Just preparing the OP for a little sticker shock compared to the price of a plastic kit. I wish someone would do a Fulton AS 11 in 1/350. I have Loose Cannon's in 1/700 but would like it in a larger scale.
