If they build a second, I'll give even odds that they'll be redesignated CG.

But, what do I know--I never thought we'd ditch Ratings and betold that rank was the only criteria for job performance.  As if a TM/1 and a QM/1 and a YM/1 are all interchangeable.

I am retiring just in time it seems.

Perhaps two. They should have remarkable capabilities.  I hope that the technology works!

Well, I'd suspect we'll only ever have to see the one.

Sorry to 'jack this thread. I'll stop now. Point being these things are fun to watch evolve.

Reminds me of when the Nighthawk first was revealed, and various companies took a shot at the new "Stealth Fighter".

The Chinese no doubt are working from photographs. Wonder how they would get the hull shape.

Either Trumpeter or Dragon offers a 1/700 kit of the Zumwalt, but I have heard that there are several inaccuracies. I'm not sure about the exact nature of the discrepancies, but that seemed to be a general consensus.

This is going to be the first one that I am attending. I am hoping to get some pics and posting them on the reference page.

We are having our Fleet Week this week. The big attraction so far has been USS San Diego.

My question is are there any kits out there yet on this ship? Plus next week is fleet week here and it is going to be commisioned here in Baltimore. I am hoping to get down there to get some pics of it and all the other ships that are coming in.
