This kit was actually released several years ago and has received many outstanding comments. My only problem with the kit is the way that Revell made the gundecks and the cannons. They premounted all the gun carriages on a narrow strip of plastic with a longitudinal wall immediately behind the carriages.  They left the barrels as seperate pieces.  I would have much preferred to have full gun decks and seperately mounted cannons, which would have been reasonable given the extraordinary care given to the overall accuracy of the kit.

I have built this model and was impressed except for that bizarre feature.  I suppose that it beats the dummy barrels of the Airfix kit!

Revell Germany 1/150 VASA kit

While cruising the net, I noticed that Revell Germany had issued a 1/150 scale VASA, the famous Swedish warship that sank in 1628 and raisied for public display. Other pictures of this model being built as work in progress, seems to be an interesting subject for a serious modeler. I have never noticed this perticular kit before. Is this a new release ? Has anyone on the Forum constructed this model ? If so, what is your opinion of the quality of this kit ? Inquiring minds want to know.

Happy modeling   Crackers    Surprise
