The Charles De Gaulle - Uh Oh !

 Hi;

    Just a little noet to you other Carrier builders out there . This kit isn't for begnners ! Although done in 1/400 . She is a beast ! My side panels for the island were warped in two directions . Now these pieces have only one joining surface .The rest is other individual parts .

 I got my island together , but it took four hours of finagling , coaxing and clamping and a heckuva lot of taping ! The parts fit , on a grade of 1 to 10 was at least a 7 not bad . not good either . The detail is at risk in two areas , both by bridge windows .

   I test fitted the deck and found some warpage in the Hull/Deck join areas too . She's gonna test my patience I can see . I will still finish because , Like the original " E " she's different . I will keep you posted . Again I apologize for no pics .

 I have to say this too . The instruction sheet was apparently not checked for confusion . There's a lot there and it sneaks up on you , so be careful !    T.B.

You said you found the kit in a dryer?

Someone must have set it on high.

 Modeling is an excuse to buy books.

Well, it was written in French which in all the verbs last are written.
