Hi Don ;

    Well I'll tell you this . I was so angry at myself I almost spit ! I am a push-over for any boat from my childhood . I always have been .

   This was , or might be the worst build I've ever gotten into . It looks like the whole thing was done from a centerfold magazine photo and someone forgot to leave a section in !

    The distance from the windshield to the bow looks somehow wrong in length . And of course that's the area that's hardest to correct ! Also the seats that have the backs exposed don't have back panels either !  T.B.

I saw that kit, and have been contemplating picking up one.  Thanks for the warning about the flaws.  I may still pick one up, but will realize before I start that it will not be as easy a project as it looks.

TB- sent a PM with my email.  If you want to send me a couple of pics of it, would be happy to put them up for you.

Good Morning fellow posters and forum members .

    For those of you who like to build this kind of vessel , Watch Out !

I just went to my LHS and picked up my lay-away . While I was doing this I purchased this kit . Yes , it's a Boat . A 1959 Century " Coronado " To be precise .

 This product , Under Both the Round 2 and Lindberg Label is a disaster waiting to happen . It's a poorly molded representation of this particular " High Class " Runabout.

   The molds must be a thousand years old !( I know they can't be ) But the parts are ragged , covered with sink marks and imperfections everywhere ! This doesn't even address the flash !

   It's a multi piece hull like many of the Airfix offerings . This is where the problems start and they go on from there . Windshield and side window frames are toy-like in their representation . This is not a kit for the faint of heart .

   If I had known that it was this bad , I Never would've laid down my cash for it . Maybe at a reduced price for what the woodcarvers club calls a " Go By " . I am going to try to make a silk purse out of a very old sows ear . I Will keep you posted .

    This is one time I wish I could get this picture thing down . You would be shocked .

 Warning ! Warning ! Boat Modeler !  Don't buy this unless you really want a challenge right out of the box ! This model looks like they didn't even try to clean up the molds !
