I've given it some serious thought, and here's what I've come up with...

I'll cast the part, but you have to supply the rails and 37mm gun (or quad 20mm). I'll cast the stowage containers integral with the decking, but I'm still working on the planking itself. It won't cast that well...I know that for a fact, so I may simply leave indentations in the decking for the stips to sit, and you provide the plastic. Basically, you'll get 2 chunks of resin that you'll have to blend into the existing tower. One for the extended upper level, and one for the lower level. I figure it'll go for about $12-$15, sans shipping.

I'm already working on a Turm IV add-on part in resin, so once it's done, I'll be making the part available for a nominal fee...you'll have to do your own rails and provide your own 37mm gun for the deck.

According to local shop owner near Dayton, Oh, MMD does have the u-boats in the warehouse but they were doing inventory last week. They didn't want to count them so they didn't open the boxes! Also called a shop in Cincinnati and they got them in this past Monday and sold out that day!!!!

Mischief [:-,]OK, all you "conspiracy theorists" in the US. Are you beginning to believe--like me--that the Revell 1/72-scale VII-C is really just a "hoax"? Evil [}:)]

Is it possible the photos of the model have just been of a single prototypeQuestion [?]Shock [:O] (After all, just look at that ridiculous green color on some of the superstructure parts on the Revell A/G website.) Gosh! The pictures of the boxes could just be empty ones with some fancy covers or post-production photo-editing.

Blindfold [X-)] Doesn't it seem a little "strange" that none have been seen in the US? Are they like UFO'sAlien [alien]Question [?] Is this just a "vast plot" to play an "insensitive practical joke" on all us YanksSad [:(]Question [?] Is this payback for WWI & II?Ashamed [*^_^*]

Whistling [:-^]Well... I'll believe these exist when I finally get the one I ordered.Tongue [:P] 'Til then I'm skeptical!Sigh [sigh]

I'm curious about the overall dimensions of the kit, not just the damn lenght :)

What other dimensions do you want to know? I've had the kit for months -- got it from White Ensign. It's nice.

For other dimensions, I'd suggest going to any U-Boat site, getting the dimensions of a Type VIIC, and dividing them by 72. Smile [:)] I'd guess it's about 36" long, around 10" high, and around 4" wide.
