A Part Scratch-Built project .
Posted by Tanker - Builder on Friday, May 5, 2017 7:58 AM

Hi ;

     I was thinking ( I know , dangerous for old folks ) about this . I have a neighbor who , over the years , built some Revell Ships . One is the old T-2 Tanker .

 She's in pretty poor shape having been stuffed in with the dishes for a house move .Wife thought because they were dishes they would be more careful with them . Four broken plates and one damaged tanker .

 I am guiding him through a weird rebuild . Can you say shades of Glomar Explorer ? Using N scale bridge structures , he's got part done . he won't let me see it yet . He said the hardest part was changing the center deckhouse location .

 I can believe that . What I can't believe is he 's trying it .We were just sitting , talking , smoking and drinking a brandy on his back porch when the subject came up . This fellow has some weird rebuilds and I wish I coud show you pics . he says when he's ready he'll show them . Look out ! I am pushing him to subscribe to FSM and the Forums . Here's hoping .  T.B.
