Revell1/160 Charles W. Morgan w/Sails Whaling Ship

After my tenth time looking through the vendor display tables while at the IPMS national convention I found this sitting on the bottom of a stack of aircraft and armor.

Still in the wrapper.  The seller was firm at $10 dollars because it was still in the wrapper.  I checked out my "Revell Model Kits" book which stated this kit is model H-330 and was released in 1972, and produce to 1977. It is a re-release of model H-346 from 1968.  Retail price at that time was $25-$35 dollars.  The box has a printed on date of 1972.

I built this kit for a good friend who like the model but had no modeling skills and was afraid of ruining it so he ask me to build it.  I believe that was 1974 and I hand painted the whole thing and left off the sails.  It really came out nice and it is stilling on a shelf in his den.

I been looking high and low for one wanting to have one of my own.  I don't know what kind of shape it is in but I going to leave her in the wrapper, but I did find my next build.  That is as soon as I finish the Musashi.

Cool! One of my favorites.

RoG released it a number of years ago and I think I paid about $ 35 for the thing.

I have a bunch of info on various backdates if you are interested.

You may consider starting it sooner than later. That Godzilla ship you've started is going to be quite a preoccupation.

Modeling is an excuse to buy books.
