Paper model

I am getting a paper model of the house cerberus are these difficult to do or are they pretty simple.

The Papershipwright kit is something 4 out of 5,  not for a paper modeling beginner.  There are other level kits which may be more appropriate.  Check the Papershipwright site,  there are simpler kits,  some are also free

I started into paper ship models several years ago with the JSC brand SMS Goeben.  It was fairly difficult but very enjoyable.  I have always recommended that, when delving into a new genre of modeling, pick something of high interest so that you stick with the project.  Other builders recommend starting simple to hone your skills, but that to me is a sure recipe for never finishing your project.  Start with something you are sure to finish.

One advantage to paper modeling is that you never run out of parts or lose them if you simply photocopy the kit on heavy paper, using the original as a master copy.  Keep the original kit in its "magazine" and build from the copies. If you mess up, simply recopy the appropriate page and start again from scratch.  Another advantage is that you can easily rescale any kit to one that you favor. For example, I rescaled my Goeben from 1/250 to 1/350 simply by printing it at 73.3% of the original size.  Also, there is an outstanding paper modellers website that can provide any help and recommendations; www.papermodellers.com. Aha ! Been There done that !

 Now you want the truth ? After heart surgery and a lot else I have gotten a few of my Card ( paper ) models built . I still made copies for converting to plastic later .

 I enlarge the model to approximately 1/87 scale and then build them in plastic . Gees , I love Evergreen Plastics .
