Very nice!

I also like taking pictures of my finished models in real sunlight.  Nothing but real sunlight can bring out the fancy details of a good model.  That means, here in Minnesota, there are several months I cannot do outdoor model photography and have a few finished models waiting for their portrait when spring comes :-)

Really nice bit of craftsmanship.  Bet your  Grandson will never miss the railings and just enjoy the heck out of the  diorama as it is.

What an attractive display. Very nicely done.

Modeling is an excuse to buy books.

The USS Oldendorf is from ARII Models. I built this ship for my grandson and it was my first attempt at modeling a waterline ship and making ocean waves. My wife gave me the idea of taking the photos outside which really accentuated the ocean motion. I didn't put on any PE railings but I intend to build at least 2 more ships for ME and I will definitely add all the acutrements that go with it.
