Several years ago I set about searching for a book on the USS Constitution. It was self published by a gentleman from south Florida and and contained many drawings and concept illustrations as to how the Constitution looked early in her career. The illustrations were based from Corne's paintings. The booklet was soft cover and not many copies were printed. Do you recall the name of the book and its author?
I'm sorry to say that Prof Tilley passed away earlier this year.

I am so sorry to hear of this. What an incredible source of information he was. At least we have his posts preserved here to access. Thank you for letting me know. Fair winds and following seas jtilley.

That's the book. It was hard to find several years ago so I assume even more so now. I did get scans of some of the drawings in the book.
