  The List:

Well here it is one box short , but better than nuttin .

1-1/150 Heller  Le Superbe Kit 3 80895.

2-Heller Imperator 900/884 .

3 - Kearsarge Scale unknown . Kit  391 , Revell .

4 - Alabama , Thin Box , Model Master Kit , Revell .

5 - Alabama , Thick Box Centennial Miniature , Revell.

6 - Minicraft -Gorch Fock 1/350 - Kit 311305 .

What I would to do is possibly replace these with Cars or Modern  ships I don't have . Or whatever . There isn't a Money value placed herein .They are not for sale , only trade   ,  P.M. Me if you're interested . I will find the others , It will be a while though . I do have on my inventory a " Jolly Roger " ( the decent one by Lindberg and the  "Black Falcon " . She's a premium though . An OOOLD Aurora kit .  T.B.

TB,

In regard to your swap request I thought I would make a few observations to maybe stir up more Private messages.

Cars:  I bet not many Model Ship builders have as many cars in their stash. I only have 1.

“Modern Ships”:  What Era: WW1, WWII, Cold War, Post Cold War (1990ish to Now)?

What Scale?   Commercial or Warship?   Any particular Country?

Would you be interested in ships like NS Savannah or USS Enterprise CVN-65 (Beehive or 1979-1982 refit)? Or an IJN ISE battleship (pre-aircraft “carrier”)?

Have you ever built the Dragon Scharnhorst? That might be a good swap for your Alabama.

How about the Cold War/somewhat Modern Heller kits like the TaskForce Replenishment set? (DDG Kersaint, CV Foch, and  French Fleet Oiler Le Siene? (I bet you didn’t build that Tanker yet.)

I suspect a kit like your Kearsarge could swap for a couple or three kits.

I will PM you with a few more details.

      Good Hunting.

Hi NINO !

How can you be sitting there so calmly typing . If I had a Beehive Big " E " She would be the pride of my fleet even in 1/700 ! That's how serious I am . It's like the post war carriers . I finally got a Midway and a Nimitz ! I served on the Midway and my daughter on the Nimitz !

Mostly for swap something different from what I have .The Smit Rotterdam is a good example and the ROMA . Plus which Alabama would you want ?  T.B.    P.S although I don't like the scale I could find room for a MAERSK container ship !

TB,

It looks like I have all the kits that you have.  Including (soon) the Opty. My Big "E" is the old Aurora or Revell 1/400 kit. My Parents gave it to me back in the 60's. It's in the attic.  I suspect I have little to trade with you. Too much nostalgia.

You mentioned the Smit Rotterdam. I know it's a Heller kit but I feel like I saw it in a Revell box???  Maybe under different name?

As for a 1/350 Roma... Ah if only I could be confident enough to paint the deck recognition stripes on the bow, I might be tempted to buy that kit.  I'm not good with masking around deck details.  Good choice for a cool battleship and it's one of Trumpeters better endeavors. I’ve seen pictures of the main deck and it is very detailed! The Italian Littorio class battleships had real "Style".

I’ve got an older kit of the Revell Alabama. I actually bought it with the idea, (once I got better at Modeling) to turn it into the 1864 Kearsarge. I read that the Alabama kit was closer to the Civil War era Kearsarges’ appearance.  I understand Revells Alabama hull is too short at 1/96 scale too.

Hope you have success with Kit-Swapping. After all it’s not the “who got best deal” rather everybody gets something they want.

    Nino.
