just tried it again mike , look's like he's back up and running , glad to know it just wasn't me though .

I have tried to sign up to no avail! Even tried contacting the webmaster. NOTHING!!!

I just visited the site and, for test purposes, clicked on "register". It opened a new window which, I must assume, would allow one to register and create a user name and password. I do, however, recall that it was not an immediate process when I first tried to register there. What problem do you run into?

I clicked onto register as well , seemed to go ok .

GM, I certainly had no intention of embarrassing you. I think the work you've done so far on K-49 meets the high standard we expect from you... so, whatever your "handle", I appreciate the WIP.

I can't recall watching "The Cruel Sea". I'll have to be on the lookout for it on Comcast.

Hi, this is Pete Coleman here from the

HMS VICTORY MODELLERS RESOURCE FORUM

Just to let you know that the Forum is up and running, I had a period recently where my home broadband kept going down and it took me ages to get through all of the new membership applications.

The Forum database is now automatically completely backed up every 24hrs by a standalone system as well as the Forum system.

So hopefully we will never have the same issues again as caused our nasty crash last year.

These days it is rare to catch myself, Maurice or Rob on the Forum as we have been involved with its operation in one form or another for nearly eighteen odd years and our interest have moved on.

However, I do maintain the Forum as much as I can as a labour of love and because I know that we have information that you just can't get anywhere else!

I'm glad that worked out.

Has it really been eighteen years Pete, blimey times flies. 

Although I don’t post my current non Victory stuff on the forum since Pegasus, I do look in fairly regularly, and respond to questions where I think I can help.

You’re doing a great job in keeping the Victory data going Pete, it would be a pity to lose it.
