Aye Aye, roger wilco SIR LOL, this think called work keeps interuppting my creativity....tax man says in 40yrs I can retire, I figure he means new tires for my old truck.

I have a long weekend coming and hope to post pix in my Hummel WIP and tha Russian group build I have neglected. Thanks Rudy.

Hi tanker-Builder! I figured they had different sizes of it, but my LHS is always out of it, so its hard to know for sure. Is it all flat? The white stuff I have is flat.

Hi Bish! I have seen that u-boat and want to build that one too! Of possible interest to you, I plan to build a DeHavilland Vampire, as flown by Air Lt. Phil Haigh of the Rhodesian Air Force flying the FB9 in "operation Dingo" in 1977 in the Rhodesian Bush War. The Rhodesians were some brave and bad-rse mofos, hung out to dry by the British Politicians, (and the world at large) in favor of Comunist Dictators, but thats another story altoghether....

Did you know E-Z Line comes in different sizes too ? I didn't at first , but once I found out I went to the finest I could get . It works great on Ships/Boats , any scale ! T.B.

You are just asking General Murphy to visit ! That said , That is nice ! I took the bases for the torpedo racks and rebuilt mine out of medium Thickness brass and annealed it just a little to make sure it was workable .The plastic parts on this one make good Go - Bys as we say in wood carving . Darned good work there ! T.B.

Rudy your two steps ahead of me, you committed to rigging AND pix, man if you track me around the forums..... As to the meat of the thread. I have never used EZ Line, I have seen it and the folks who used it said it was great, can't recall if it comes in black or if they had to color it. I have sen some pretty thin sewing thread.

BTW nothing wrong with the fresh from dry dock look, at least its consistant. We left San Diego on our carrier with the starboard side all shiny and clean and the ocean ( port) side grungy 'til we got to the Phillipines.

I didn't even know Revell had done one of these. Off to a good start. I have their 72nd S-100 that i am keen to start on, so will be interesting to see how this one builds up.

I absolutely CANNOT figure out how you did such a good job with such a "DISASTER" going on in the background LOL. Looks really good for a first time boat, I have several 1/350 ships in my stash that I want to build and a 1/35 Schnellboot waiting. Just scared to commit as I'm already a glacialy slow builder, read that as finisher.

I think your Vosper looks pretty darn good.

ne neither lol! Thanks! Really struggling with the poor lighting for pictures, but I "rigged" (an accurate term here ) this tonight, I wanted to use easy-line, but all I had was white, and trying to color it with a sharpie or painting it was found to be a disaster and non-starter immediately. I used black thread, which I'm sure is some sort of sin without even having to ask. I want to make a better stand for it out of wood, and need to brush up on ship weathering before I think about going there. So this P.T. Boat is fresh out of the dry dock!

I took some new pics, (albeit i need some help on this front ) but will wait to post them tomorrow at work when :1. I am not trying to do it on a phone, and 2. Theyre paying me to do so (well, not really but we get breaks too )

after I post the pics, comments, criticisms, tips are welcome, It's all new to me on this front!

Hello all! I picked up this 1/72 British P.T. boat from a friend's model "garage sale", and though a rather cheapo kit, I thought it would be a good first foray into Boats/Ships/Watercraft. It was missing a few parts, like the gun mounts on top of the "turrets" (or whatever they are actually called) so I made my own out of wire, and 1/2 of the "tee" at the top of the mast was broken, so I had to make that as well. Otherwise I was surprised all the little parts were there. My only gripe about the kit is all the molded-in details. I hand painted everything on the deck, but airbrushed the Hull of the boat, first white primer, then red, then I taped off a black line and sprayed that last. I think the red is a bit "too red", but the color called for "carmin Red", and this kinda sorta looked the same. All I have left to do tonight is the rigging, I think ill use some easy-line I have that seems appropriately sized. Other than my arms being cramped from two days of hand painting details, I really enjoyed building it, and plan to do another soon, most likely a much higher quality and newer kit. Some stuff I had no idea what color to paint it, like the little round things on the deck, so I just painted them red. I will post some pics of the final product tomorrow, but for now, here is a few crappy pics. (please ignore my disaster of a workspace in the background) I will take better pictures tonight or tomorrow.
