Thanks, Tanker. There is some really interesting "card" modeling stuff out there. One in this subject, even. It might be worth trying, but the patience it must require, ugh!

Pre-dreadnaught battleships seem to be hot right now. I am building the Lord Nelson, and plan to pick up that French one- forget the name.

Cool site. I would love to see how it turns out if someone else built it. I have done resin figures and those are a bit of a challenge. Can't imagine a whole ship. Those can be quite involved even if they are plastic. 

GMorrison, Thanks for pointing me to Combrig. I did find them, and you were right. They have a 1/350 of Peresvet. Exactly what I was looking for. It looks so cool, but the thing's resin. I shudder to think what it would be like to work with that much resin. I built the Accurate Armor 1/35 Ward Lafrance WW2 tow truck a couple years ago, and it was a blast, but I got a big taste of working with resin from it. Not sure I want to go back for a lot more any time soon! However, the thought is now planted in my head, and I might end up buying the kit just to get it out of my head! It is some kind of cool looking ship. Barrett

Thanks, Bish. The Russians seem to have been trying a lot of designs to find something they could throw together to counter the real naval powers.  I just bought a kit of the 1904 Russian battleship Tsesarevich. That'll be a fun build. Now, I'm on the hunt for one of these! Barrett

Kalifornia, Thanks very much for your quick reply. I take it you knew as soon as you saw it! I'm really beginning to like the pre-dreadnought era. Seems a lot of experimentation was going on.

I thought it was British looking at the flag on the front, but seems its Russian. One of 3 Pre Dreadnaught ships.
