I received the following in an email from Freetime Hobbies. i thought that some of you might be interested.
We have been getting several emails and phone calls concerning the status of Revell products, in particular the new PT-109 pre-orders. Revell was recently sold and Revell USA (Monogram) and Revell Germany are in the process of being combined into one company which will be located in Germany. When this happened all Revell product shipments stopped. We did receive our first, small, shipment of PT-109 kits (which is why some customers have received the product) but of the hundreds we bought, we only received a few dozen to begin with. Our second (of several) shipments, that was stopped, has started moving again and we should receive it in the next week or two and we will continue to fulfill pre-orders. We can not, at this time, guarantee how many we will be getting on this next shipment. We will fill pre-orders in the order they were placed until all pre-orders are filled. If you have not pre-ordered one, please do so but understand that it might not be filled until after the new Revell company is completely set up. From what we understand, these next few shipments that are headed to us (and the rest of the USA) will be the last Revell product that is available for several months until the new company is completely set up for business. Thank you for your understanding.
It will be several months before the models start coming back. I just got the new ROG 1/32 P-51D for $24 from a shop in Pennsy. The owner told me that modelers are freaking out about Revell's purchase but said to be patient for them to work out the bugs and start production again. He is guessing up to a 10% increase on future shipments since they were low in price to begin with as with the early 1/32 Mustang I just got.
Hopefully ROG will come back stronger with a larger selection of new tooled kits at a reasonable price.
Too many models to build, not enough time in a lifetime!!
I was at HobbyLobby yesterday, shelves sure seemed different, unless it was my imagination.
They seemed to be filled with AMT kits.
Wonder if folka are buying up Revell/Monogram kits?
Have noticed a lot of Squadron boxed stuff at HL too, especially the pre-painted stuff. Hopefully just supply chain issues with Revell for the time being.

was at HL the other day and noticed Lindbergh and Academy kits. It would be great if they pick up a few Dragon kits which would be a very good price with a 40% discount coupon.
I suspect that some modelers are freaking out and grabbing Revell kits out of desperation.
