A Boat , Well known but misplaced .

Well ;

 I did it . I pulled the trigger on the "Bay" The Boat arrived yesterday . This vessel was known in her time as a staunch opponent of another well known boat owned as well by her captain . Races were commonplace because of the mail contracts just floating around waiting for the fastest steamer to nab them .

 They engaged in a famous race . At no time , as artists of the time would have you believe , were they ever in sight of each other after the first curve in the river ! The winner , it was found  , Cheated badly but was awarded the Deer Antlers anyway !

 I thought the loser was a better looking boat and I built one fifty or so years ago and the many moves removed her from my presence . I now have another Natchez ! The decals are toast , But I think that's repairable .

 Anyway , I wanted to let ya'll know that there are others besides the Rob't E . Lee !

Sounds grand. I could make you new details if you mail me the sheet.

 Modeling is an excuse to buy books.

" G "

 Thank You sir . I will do that and pay any costs involved . My Land - lady isn't sure her machine can do it . I don't have one . The new main deck is going to be real wood over a scratch built frame .  Doc
