What has happened to the replies column?
Posted by Don Stauffer on Tuesday, June 12, 2018 6:37 AM

In all the other forums, there is a column over to the right that shows the number of replies in each thread.  It seems to be missing from the Ships forum.  I find that useful.  Anyone know what happened to it?

You mean the one next to the number of views and above the stars. I can see it on this thread and a couple of others i just checked.

I just noticed that too. It seems someone has tried to post a link as a thread title and that's pushing the other info off the screen, at least on the mobile version of the site not sure about pc.

Another strange thing - When I go directly from an e-mail to a post in ships, then attempt to log out, it will not let me. If however I go to the FSM home page, it says to log in or register. Whats with that?

I can't see the pictures or the replies.  Started with the link-post by Gene.  Maybe it is browser dependent?  I use FireFox.  Will try another browser.

Can't see Gene's pictures nor do I see the replies on the right.

I tried in Firefox (my main browser), Google, and Opera. I don't want to even open Microsoft Edge - (I dislike it so much).

Rather strange.

I have a two desktops and a laptop so I'm going to see if it's the same story on all my machines and will chime in again in a few minutes.

OK, I've checked all three machines and neither Gene's pictures nor the "Replies" column are showing up.

Hi,

I believe that Rambo is correct.  On another board that I used to visit they had a problem that when something got too long, it would push the columns over so far for other things, that they would not show up correctly on everyones machine.  If Gener1 could revise the title of his post further down on the page, I think it may do the trick.

I noticed it was gone last night.

And it is back this morning. Hmmm.

And it is back this morning. Hmmm.

Same here, I figured a site "glitch" and it would be restored by morning. Which for me it was.

I see the replies and views just not the pics, only the links. And if you click on the link you have to sign into google.

I did not read Don's original post closely enough (bad on me), and missed that he specifically referred to the ship forum.

I confirm the missing info and apologise for my earlier useless post.

I apologize as well, I did not fully read Don's post. I'm having the same issue with the Ships forum as well.

Not only are the Replies and Views Columns on the right missing but the Avatar photos on the left are too. I had tried to click on the link that was Gene's post which seems to be the culprit. Not only are they missing from my iPhone but also the iPad and iMac. And again, only in the Ships forum. Has anyone contacted the web masters?

I am using Firefox.  I have wondered if the problem is browser-specific.  Still Firefox is a popular browser and I would think the webmaster should ensure that the forum works with all popular browsers.
