Yeah:
Tha S.F. area was a gathering spot for many types flags and houses . Oh , Crowley . My dealings with them have never been stellar . I had a Broken 485 ' freighter , ( Bulk ) stick ship and I called my own tugs to assist ( I used my oil skimmers as tugs on whatever I was doing . ) Crowley tried to muscle in .
What a bunch of A%$&#* They were . Didn't want to take no for an answer . I finally had to involve the C.G. and have their line handlers removed from my vessels ! The frieghter was Suffering from Electronics meltdown , both in the Engine room and Bridge and Mast .
Took her to Stockton to a rented pier space . Refitted what was necessary and sold her to the highest Bidder . She was Broken up in India two years later . She had had the Epirotiki House Flag and stack . Oh , By the way My friend Ken carver owned the Landing restaurant and Crockett marine service on the other side right across from her.
Helped Ken re-keel many a wooden boat over forty foot . And , that's where I kept the Sponge and Squeegee ( the skim boats )
