Would love to know more about those stern lanterns.

Would half wager that they are cut glass cores with brass worked over them.

That is one "AWESOME" SHIP !!!

You always manage to find the best ship's .... I "use " to think I was, at the very least, an Acomplished modeler. This ship make's it look like i'm still building with "Twig's', and "Rock's"........

I "Wish" i could carve wood like that .

Dont worry about the thumbprint, paint it Rust , and call it "Battle Damage"

Zoltan Szemak recently visited the International Convention of Model Ship Builders held at Rochfort, France from October 18th to the 21st of 2018. The convention exhibited 80 ship models from 150 modelers from Belgium, Switzerland, France, Germany, Russia Spain, Japan and the U.S.A. The best of the models was this 1/48 scale of the French warship, LE SAINT PHILIPPE, of the era of Louis XIV of the late 17th century, built by Spanish modeler Jose Tuset.

This model is truly a triumph of the ship modeler's art. It is no wonder this model was selected the best of the best at the International Convention of Model Ship Builders at Rochfort, France. All pictures posted on Facebook by Zoltan Szemak.

Happy modeling      Crackers    Smile
