The Wave Model version of the 1:200 Mikasa is a 1905 version. Wave Models, Trumpeter, and Hobby Boss are the same kit with perhaps a slightly different deck (I'm not sure on this part) to allow for different year variations of this ship. However, it should be noted that other parts required to backdate the Mikasa were also included on the parts sprues.
My model uses the Pontos update set to detail the ship. This set included a wooden deck, lots of photo etch, cast resin, and machined brass parts. A very extensive and worthwhile set IMHO.
