I decided 1/700 was the best option for building CL's. So far I've found Brooklyn, Atlanta and Cleveland classes, either plastic or resin. All under $ 50 each.

Modeling is an excuse to buy books.

Yes, 1/700 is the way to go if you want all the WW2 USN CL's .  Between Niko, Dragon & Pit-Road you can make'em all, even an Omaha class.

I started late buying Niko models. My Helena was $71.10 after shipping. It was a single item purchase, rare for me.   FreetimeHobbies has the Niko line.

Back to Titanic...

My previous reference to Megahobby as a pre-order shop was done on purpose. AAA Hobbies is the "front" for MegaHobby. (The Megahobby "store" is the entire rear section behind AAA Hobbies.)  Mark (mstazz62), is a major patron over at AAA and is there on most Saturdays. Shameless plug... my bad.

The kit has yet to be released. I have seen the prototype kit assembled by Zeno Silva, a member of the Titanic Honor and Glory team, and it is very impressive. The team submitted 1.5 gigs worth of changes to Trumpeter to correct the many faults....it may be some of the reason it has been pushed back for release. Hopefuly, they will listen to some experts this time, as they did not when they made the prototype!

As far as the Minicraft model is concerned.....even the corrected kit is full of errors. The roof over the 1st class lounge being one of the most noticeable (but a pretty easy fix).
