Here's one for you. A young Lad. A pair of ships he was proud of. A very weak,( Unknown to him) Shelf. This Lad gets his modeling Money by helping old Neighbor Ladies carry their groceries home from the A&P Market.
You know what that is. A Nickel here and Quarter there and so on. Sometimes even a Half Dollar! He gets home from school one day to find the two ships and this really heavy shelf lying on top of two very badly damaged ships! On the unblemished hardwood floor. "Oh Gosh! What's Dad gonna think?" "Horseplay in the house, and I damaged the floor to boot!"!
Well, turns out there was a reason. Dad calls me from Work( He worked nights) A car Hit the house by the dining room wall. The bricks need work. Check the wall for damage and call him back! I did and told him about the shelf. He says" Clean it up and leave the shelf and damage on the floor". "Pick up your broken toys and throw them away. The insurance won't pay for them"

Well, then the thought hit me. Why not patch them up, glue them together and then That way I'll have a single nice ship! It worked. Of course the Savannah had more upper works than originally designed and more hatches. Oh well! She looked okay even at that!
