im planning on building a 1/700 scale naval diorama. i have some papers that are in 1/800 scale. i plan on doing some work on my laptop for this. ho much do i need to rescale down to 1/700 from 1/800?

For any rescaling, there is a simple trick that doesn't involve much math.  Make a fraction from the two scales.  It is either 700/800, or 800/700.  To see which to use, do you want to make it bigger or smaller.  If bigger, the fraction must be bigger than 1.  So it would be 800/700.  If you are scaling down it must be smaller than 1, so you would use 700/800.
