Got the sale circular in the mail about 3 weeks ago. Went right ahead and ordered the "Easter Egg Fleet" by Weatherhorn. This is a report on the camouflage practices applied to US commercial & naval ships in WWI It arrived today
There are a couple short chapters regarding submarine and ASW doctrine as well as the camouflage design and application process. Interesting that the insuring companies offered a 0.5% discount to ship operators if their ships were painted in approved camo measures
The meat of the book is the 250+ pages of camouflage patterns, some colored and some black and white with color annotations. There are cross references of ship name to pattern and pattern to ship names
