Airfix 1/600 RMS Queen Elizabeth 2

I decided to build another 1/600 Airfix kit, RMS Queen Elizabeth 2. This kit is also kind of hard to find and a bit pricey. The box is a little messy but the kit is complete and in good condition.

Chris,

Once again, superb work. My only recommendation is to replace that Aztec stairway on the forward bridge structure be replaced with photo etch.  But, stellar work!

Or cut a couple of triangles out of black decal and stick them on the sides.

Your workspace is way to neat.  Can't get any meaningful work done in such a clean environment.  At least I can't!  Big Smile

Looks great.

Thanks Bob. It isn’t always that clean. When I’m done for the day I usually straighten everything up and snap a few pictures. While I’m painting and stuff there are things scattered all over the place….believe me lol!

When I saw her in the second year of her ops she had a storeroom under those stairs. The only thing he needs to add is rails! Later on, the room was removed after some damage and then the space was open.

Also,The paint is too awesome! he has no right doing such a Beautiful Job on his Model. There-fore I declare it a faux model and photoshopped. MMMM,Hmmm! Now what's Next? Another well built model of sumpin else. Bring It On ! LOL.LOL

I have started to add some photo etch to QE2. Mostly railings and some odds and ends. Railings are challenging for me when they have curves and angles on the same piece.

You have managed to take these old kits and make them into such clean, boardroom quality presentations is beyond belief.  Great work.

Thanks Scott, I really appreciate your comments. I get a kick out of trying to make these old kits look decent. I added more railings and now will move onto the lifeboats, davits, and their railings.

Today I installed the lifeboats and davits. Next things to do will be the mast, props, anchors, and lots of railings around the davits.
