My kit had these gawdafful chrome plated "monitor" fixtures. I forgvet the scale of the original kit, something like 1/80.

My project is a Tacoma based Seiner, specifically John Steinbeck's rented Western Flyer from the "Sea of Cortez' books.

I'll be happy to do a thread on where that build is (isn't).

Your model is a classic.

Very nice.  I'm going to have to find that kit.  Great job on a super cool subject.

Thanks,

John

thanks , yes i can see how the hull could be adapted very well to a coastal freighter or deep sea salvage tug scratch build. would love to see what you did with it

Well done! I have that kit minus the hull, which went to another project. PM me if anyone wants parts.

Please tell us the name of this kit and if possible, send a picture of the model boxtop.

Happy modeling   crackers

finally got this one off the bench. started it to take a break from the military stuff. LOTS of flash and rough parts , so it tended to drag and not "flow" so easy.  did some light weathering and added some drums as detailing. btw , finally got to image posting here!
