I remember when the companies would have display kits like this in the hobby shops.  I never saw that one before.

The closest thing I have to something like a display item to accompany the model would be my pieces of the Hindenberg I got from my Father.

He is just trying to get it into the hands of someone who will appreciate it. ( and, he did purchase it from the previous owner, so he needs to get his money back.)

If I had the money, I would jump at the chance to own it.

The thing to worry about tho, is it was built way back in the day. That glue is probably brittle. Shipping it would probably destroy it.( or at least disassemble it.. might be fun to reassemble a 60+ year old glue bomb.)

He's been trying to sell that kit for a while.

Think it's been there for 3 years at least.

Makes me wonder why they don't just donate it to the Arizona Memorial.

I was on the site oldmodelkits.com and came across this:

If I had a spare $3800 + laying around, this would be something awesome to buy and donate to the USS Arizona memorial.
