"Coming up next:  Luxury nuclear submarines for the ultra-rich.  Developer says shopping mall, bowling lane, indoor swimming pool, and miniature golf are on offer.  Unlimited range allows non-stop partying below the waves. A novelty amusement park is under development, where passengers are ejected out of reconditioned SLBM tubes to arrive on the ocean surface in inimitable style.  Guests will be able to choose between jet ski or parasail for immediate use upon ejection.  A ship-to-shore trasnsportation system is also being worked on."  Stick out tongue

Maybe Bezos or Branson will build the world's first Space Yacht, for partying beyond the Von Karman Line.  Meanwhile, passengers on Musk's Starship can gawk at the orbital debauchery going on while making their way to the moon.

But yeah, someone's GOTTA do that Foch!

not going to happen as Brazil decommissioned the carrier due to mechanical breakdowns & lack of new parts. also the carrier is over 60yrs old, better off starting with a new ship.

Though, looking at the pictures, I think they got the scale wrong. I mean, I know that the Foch ain't no Nimitz, but dang!

"Why do I do this? Because the money's good, the scenery changes and they let me use explosives, okay?"

The Typhoons supposedly had an indoor swimming pool.

I had read that as well.  Are we certain it just wasn't the engine machine room with bad bilge pumps?  Stick out tongue  All joking aside, it was claimed that the Typhoon class subs had accomodations well beyond other boats.

Discovery Channel "Sharks of Steel".

Had an episode on the Typhoon and it did indeed have a "pool" but it's about the size of a 6 person hot tub.

My guess is that it's used to reward crewmen who's duty performance is above average.

27:30 mark.

Having two parallel 10m pressure hulls does provide some space . . .

On topic- obviously designred by someone who has no idea of what a suitable ship would be. Docking along the Riviera without assistance would be...interesting.

Yamato and I assume Mushashi had very large baths, maybe 20 people at a time.
