I know that Trumpeter sometimes includes them with some of their larger ships, like aircraft carriers, but I'm not aware of any company that makes generic water bases.

I've always made my own - acrylic paints and acrylic gel medium and you're good to go.

I just did a google search for "bases for waterline ship models" and came up with a lot of results.  Didn't look at any links, so don't know if they are what they are what you are looking for, but that is a good starting point.

Water bases

I have seen blue acrylic bases that would be used for waterline ships.  Every so often I stumble on them in someone's site like Freetime Hobbies, and they are always out of stock.  I just spent some time looking for them again and had no luck.  Does anyine know who makes them or where to find them?
